History
Architect TEST completed this prefabricated modular house in 2024. It stands on nine existing reinforced shotcrete pillars. An old wooden house previously occupied the site.
Architecture
The structure is modular prefabrication. It comprises eight balloon-framed modules, each 3x3x3 meters. An exposed structural timber grid allows flexible interior configurations. The exterior is clad in red-stained textured wood panels. Materials include wood, pine plywood, metal, and sprayed cork.
Setting
The house sits within a forest in Barcelona, Spain. Beech trees dominate the mountainous woodland site. Sunlight filters through the canopy.
